An Inspirational Bridal Accessories photoshoot not to be missed…

Where do I start with this blog?! Well, I guess it should be to tell you what it’s about and that is my recent photoshoot I organised to launch my new ‘Rose Garden’ bridal hair accessory collection, at the most amazing venue, with some of the most amazing wedding suppliers I’ve had the pleasure of working with to date.

We set the date, confirmed the model and venue and then crossed fingers and toes for good weather…and how lucky we were! It rained both the day before and poured down the day after the shoot too!  Just to give you some idea of the weather on the day, here’s a little glimpse you get from one of the photos…

I could not have asked for a more beautiful, appropriate venue for my new collection and I was totally blown away by the wonderful Bassmead Manor Barns in Staploe, Cambridgeshire.  Having been to many venues, I have to admit I fell a whole lot in love with this one.  In vast and beautifully maintained grounds, it is situated within the medieval moat of an ancient manor house, surrounded by stunning countryside.  Inside, they just seem to have thought about every eventuality.  The Bride and Groom have the most sumptuous ‘boudoir’ in which to spend their first night as husband and wife, the ceremony takes place in the charming ‘Rickety Barn’, the reception is held in the grand Moat Barn which is perfectly adjoined and opens onto the beautiful garden and even the guests have been thought about with 7 double ensuite rooms available within ‘Appletree Cottage’.  All of this and brilliant, attentive staff to boot.  This amazing venue really does seem to have it all, I don’t think that’s the only time I’ll be holding a shoot there 😉

The day started with Hair and Make-up for the model by the totally fabulous award winning Sasha Wren – – then collection of the gorgeous bridal dresses courtesy of The Bridal Boutique, Biggleswade – – and then onto the venue for the photography of my new romantic and pretty ‘Rose Garden’ collection, shot by the incredible Nicola Redford of Red Peacock Photography –

It’s such fun organising a photoshoot, I wish I got the chance to do more than just one a year.  It’s so infectious working in the bridal industry and even more amazing when you get the opportunity to meet such wonderful suppliers that you really can confidently recommend.  I have another sneaky themed photoshoot lined up this month which I’ve been asked to contribute my products for (and attend…I’m a tad excited!) and another one-off of my own in the summer that I know will be incredible.  Keep your eye out for the blog on both of those, coming soon! In the meantime, I’ll leave you with some of the beautiful images that were captured at this shoot’s amazing venue of my bridal hair accessories, wedding jewellery and bridal belts…enjoy!

Our beautiful model in prep…

Some of our beautiful products available here on our online shop…

Some beautiful bridal headpieces, hairvines and bridal combs from the new ‘Rose Garden’ collection…

And here are just a few sneaky pictures from our ‘Athena’ collection, which has a real hint of Hollywood Glamour about it and launches at the end of this month…

I do hope you’ve enjoyed reading the blog and seeing all the beautiful bridal accessories on our model, which I think makes such a huge difference when considering purchasing your accessories.  I now have the mammoth task of adding all these new products onto my online shop (which may take some time!) so, if you are interested in any of these beautiful pieces and would like further information in the meantime, please email me

As I mentioned, we have another shoot at the end of this month, so I’d love you to leave a comment below and tell me what you think would benefit you when viewing bridal hair accessories, wedding jewellery or bridal belts online for purchase and I can try to accommodate your requests on the day.

Until next time,

Much love, Rachel x
